The Czech Republic has attracted a large amount of foreign direct investment (FDI) since 1990, making it the most successful transition country in terms of FDI per person (more than US$ 5 billion in foreign investment in 2003). The introduction of investment incentives in 1998 has stimulated a massive inflow of foreign direct investment into greenfield and brownfield projects.
